CIKI: Arrighi and Forte lead in Como.
Feb 18, 2011 (Como, Italy) - As day 2 of the 2011 Italian Indoor Kart Championship comes to a close at the Mokart circuit, it is 2 races down and 2 to go before the Final Race. Stefano Arrighi and Alberto Forte have emerged as the early Championship leaders, thanks to back-to-back victories on Races 1 & 2. The two Italians are very closely followed by World Champions Kenny Geldhof and Gregory Laporte from Belgium, who backed their wins from yesterday with 2nd places on Race 2.
Saturday will be a decisive day at the Italian Indoor Kart Championship with two 15 minute sprint races on the schedule. The 50 competing drivers are in for a very dramatic evening as a good result will be crucial to be in contention heading into the Final Race on Sunday. The Final is the longest race of the tournament, lasting 45 minutes.
