About the IKWC
Indoor Kart Racing & The IKWC

During the last two decades, Indoor Kart Racing has established itself as one of the world's most popular forms of competitive motorsport. It successfully combines affordability and convenience with speed and safety, attracting a huge number of competitors world-wide. People like to race, and indoor rental kart racing is affordable racing for the masses!! No need to haul equipment to the track, no need to mess with oil, engines, or to struggle to figure out kart set-up. With all necessary karts and equipment provided at the track, drivers can concentrate on the best part of racing, THE DRIVING!

Some indoor kart racers compete for pure joy and entertainment, while some race with the competitive spirit of a Formula 1 driver. Before 2005, the more competitive indoor kart drivers had to contend themselves with competing at local track leagues, regional leagues (where available), and special endurance events to find a higher level competition. No longer are these the only options. With these top racers in mind, the Indoor Kart World Championship was created!
Since 2005, the Indoor Kart World Championship has united in competition a truly diverse field of international drivers from nations such as Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, China, Colombia, Denmark, England, France, Germany, Great Britain, Hungary, India, Italy, Ireland, Jamaica, Japan, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Philippines, Peru, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, USA, and Ukraine. Participants have included numerous experienced drivers from many levels of car and kart racing, as well as less experienced hopefuls looking for a real challenge. The 5 year history created since 2005 has shown the Austrians, Belgians, and Brazilians to be the dominant driver force in the sport of indoor kart racing. Come represent your country at the next IKWC and challenge the top international indoor kart racing stars for the World Title!
At the IKWC, indoor kart racers compete at the highest level of the sport to determine the season's World Champion Driver, World Champion Team, and a World Champion Nation. Drivers also compete for great awards, which in the past have included driving opportunities in real racecars at great racing schools such as LRS Formula 1 Experience, Derek Daly Academy, American Racing Academy, and Escola de Pilotagem Alpie as well as cash/money prizes, IKWC event sponsorship, & more. In 2010, prizes include sponsored drives in the 2011 Indoor Kart World Championship event in Europe for the top 3 drivers, & more! Although the IKWC competition includes the best drivers from the world indoor kart racing community, the Indoor Kart World Championship still remains true to the nature and roots of indoor karting: being open to entry by anyone*, regardless of level of experience (or lack there of)! Where else in the world can a racing fan or enthusiast actually go racing wheel-to-wheel against the best drivers in the sport for a World Championship Title? Only at the IKWC, the World Championship where YOU CAN RACE!
The Indoor Kart World Championship is the most affordable and convenient World Championship competition in the motor racing world, and in 2008, a new era begun for the IKWC: The event started a yearly rotation between North America, South America and Europe. After 3 years in the USA, the 2008 IKWC was staged in Kortrijk, Belgium, and the 2009 IKWC in Macae'/Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The 2010 IKWC will be back in Phoenix, USA, at North America's largest indoor kart racing facility the F1 Race Factory the 2011 event will be in Europe (at a track/nation still to be determined) and so on...
Above all, the IKWC event is more than just competition. Its an opportunity for members of the indoor kart world community to meet, to make new friends from all over the world, advertise products, make business contacts, and most of all, enjoy a great time!
(* Drivers with no experience must complete IKWC supervised practice prior to event to be deemed an apt and safe driver to race. Minimum age applies.)
