Belgium takes Nations Cup!

 

Team Vantrico.com from Belgium emerged victorious over 46 other teams from Europe, North and South America at the opening event of this year's Indoor Kart World Championship, in a truly electrifying finish that kept everyone at the edge of their seat! Belgian driver Anthony Von Trier crossed the finishline under serious bumper-to-bumper pressure from a charging Team Daytona Essen from Germany in second place and the current Champions Bluestar Racing A, also from Belgium, in third. Only .5 seconds separated the 3 at the end. The excitement did not end there, as the top 10 all finished within a 3 seconds bracket. The Final grid had 28 teams.

 

Vantrico.com guaranteed a spot in the Final with a 7th place in Qualifyer Race 1, which was won by eventual 3rd place finishers BlueStar Racing A, also from Belgium. The winner of Qualifyer 2 was Racing One from Germany, who finished 4th in the Final.

 

Driving for Vantrico.com Belgium were: Bar Van de Vel (BEL), Anthony Van Trier (BEL), Kenneth Goris (BEL), and Mats de Jong (BEL), who also made pole-position for the team in the 1 lap drivers have to qualify.

 

For team Daytona Kartbahn Essen Germany drove: Maximilian Barth, Maximilian Beer, Maximilian Fritz, and           .

 

For BlueStar Racing Team Belgium drove: Mathias Grooten (BEL), Robin Borremans (BEL), Gregory Laporte (BEL), and current Indoor Kart World Champion driver Kenny Geldhof (BEL).
