2010 IKWC Host Track

In 2010 the Indoor Kart World Championship returns to North America's largest indoor kart racing facility, the F1 Race Factory in Phoenix, Arizona. This world class, state-of-the-art racing venue is currently celebrating its sixth anniversary, and has established itself as the premiere indoor karting track in the South Western USA.

F1 Race Factory is a 114,000 sq.ft. facility, of which 3?4+ is used as racing area. All track lay-outs combine fast sweepers and tight hairpin turns with high speed areas, and are designed to challenge drivers of all skill levels.

As in the past, the IKWC event at F1 Race Factory will combine the use of their 1/4 mile and 1/2 mile track configurations. The two 1/4 mile tracks are used for practice during the week prior to the event, while the full 1/2 mile GP track is set on the day of the Nations Cup race, as well as on Monday preceding the start of the IKWC for optional practice.

F1 Race Factory track is open for practice 363 days a year. See website for current hours of operation: www.F1RaceFactory.com

F1 Race Factory offers a unique complete entertainment and corporate meeting environment with configurable conference rooms, wireless internet connection, as well as a billiards room, full video arcade, rock climbing wall, and restaurant & bar to hang out (view the F1 Race Factory floorplan). The Trackside Grill at F1RaceFactory is great for a fun lunch or dinner, and like the track, it’s open seven days a week! Serving great tasting pizza, burgers, sandwiches, salads, appetizers, and a selection of ice-cold beverages including beer and wine, the food and beverage options are sure to please as you relax and enjoy your favorite sports team or auto race broadcast on 30+ televisions located throughout the facility. There's a lot to do even for those who are not racing.

F1 Race Factory currently uses French made Sodi RX 7 kart chassis, fitted with a 9HP Honda GX270 cc engine. These are some of the most powerful gasoline powered indoor kart racing engines available anywhere, and used by some of the best indoor tracks in the world. The karts have a simple single gear, gas and brake pedal format, rear disk brakes, an adjustable seat, and feature an all-around patent-pending shock absorbing bumper system. Helmets provided if you do not have one!
