The Brazilian IKWC Qualifier event is happening at the fantastic VELOPARK motorsports complex, near the southern city of Porto Alegre, Brazil. The races are being run at Velopark's very challenging 1.1 km outdoor kart track in brand new MORO karts. The Indoor Kart World Championship Qualifier has become one of the biggest rental kart racing events in Brazil, with over 230 drivers from 10 different Brazilian states racing to win a fully sponsored trip to the 2011 Indoor Kart World Championship in Eupen, Belgium. Prize includes airfare, hotel, transport, and the entry fee to compete in both the Nations Cup and the World Championship. It is said to be the biggest prize ever paid in a rental kart racing competition in Brasil.

 

The event can be followed on the VELOPARK website, which will provide a live video feed and live timing. The event will also be covered by local media and the "Curva do S" TV show, which airs on the SPEED Channel in Brazil.

Racing on Saturday is scheduled to begin at 9am and continue through 6pm (local Porto Alegre time).

On Sunday, racing starts at 8am. The Final is expected to begin at 4pm on Sunday.
